Astringents:
Lemon juice.  Dilute to proper strength for your complexion.

Cucumber juice.  Wash, dry, and cut up 1/2 unpeeled cucumber.  Liquefy in blender or juicer.  Heat but do not boil.  Strain through a mesh cloth.  Refrigerate leftover supply.

Oily skin tonic:
Wash face.  Pat with strained juice of tomato, cucumber, or orange.  Rinse with cool water, or rub face with slice of fresh tomato, cucumber or orange.

Facial rinse:
Combine 1/4 cup fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon dried mint leaves and 1 cup boiling water.  Steep for 35-40 minutes.  Strain and bottle.  Use rise each time you wash your face.

Softeners:
Combine 1 tablespoon honey and 1 tablespoon molasses.  Pat on face.  Wash off.

Combine 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon sour cream.  Add enough cornstarch, potato starch or arrowroot starch to make a thin paste.  Apply.  Wash off.

Tightener:
In a blender, puree 1 small, fresh, peeled peach.  Beat to a froth 1 egg white.  Combine ingredients and apply smoothly.  Wash off.  *Do not use this formula if sensitive to eggs.

Cleaners:
Combine 2 tablespoons of almond meal or another meal that can be tolerated, and 3 teaspoons whole milk.  Apply smoothly to wet, clean face.  Wash off.

Combine 2 tablespoons ground oatmeal and enough hot water to make a spreadable paste.  Smooth on gently.  When paste has dried, wash off and apply astringent.

You can wash your face and neck with olive and coconut oil.  Then make a little lather in your hands with oatmeal flour and use it as a "scrub" to remove the oil, finishing with a sponge-off under running water.  This leaves your skin marvelously soft.  Rinse with cool milk, if tolerated.

Facial Rinse:
Combine 1/4 cup fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon dried mint leaves and 1 cup boiling water.  Steep for 35-40 minutes.  Strain and bottle.  Use rinse each time you wash your face.
