Do ~
- Let others know you appreciate their cooperation.

- Politely tell other what bothers you, and be prepared to suggest alternatives.
- Try to be as independent as possible, to maintain as high a level of physical and mental health as possible.
- Suggest family activities in which you can participate.
- Be careful to use precautions when participating in family activities, so that the experience is enjoyable.
Don't ~
- Make unreasonable demands on your family.
- Expect your family to make all the concessions.
- Become a chronic complainer.
- Expect others to guess what makes you ill, or expect them to always anticipate your needs.
- Use your illness to unnecessarily pamper yourself.
- Separate yourself completely from all family activities.
