You can create your own shampoo and conditioner using ecologically safe household items.
Shampoo: Beat
to a froth 2 egg yolks and 2 teaspoons almond oil. Massage into
scalp and spread through hair. Leave on until it stiffens, at
least 1 hour - the longer, the better. Rinse thoroughly with
water only. Some individuals have given up all other hair care
after a year of this treatment. If you cannot use almond oil,
substitute an oil that can be tolerated.
For individuals allergic
to eggs, place the remains of face soaps (a pure castile soap is
recommended) in a jar with enough spring water to cover. After
soaking for a few days, run through a blender, first at low speed, then
at high. Reblend shampoo each time before use to prevent
congealing.
Conditioner: If you can tolerate eggs, beat 1 egg yolk well. Add
1/2 cup yogurt and continue to beat well. After shampooing hair,
gently comb the mixture through the hair and let stand for 20-30
minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
